  • We recently purchased a self balancing scooter (aka hoverboard) from the Charlotte Scooter Shop and we are very pleased with the purchase. at the start of this year, my work has recently transferred me from the San Francisco Bay Area to South Carolina, and we wanted to get a hoverboard for my son for Christmas after our transfer to the East Coast since many airlines prohibit transporting hoverboards. We had just arrived into Charlotte early Friday morning after taking a non-stop red eye flight from San Francisco. I had previously contacted the Charlotte Scooter Shop about purchasing one of their hoverboards, and even though they didn't have hoverboards in stock at the time, they promised to contact me once they re-stocked them. About a week later while I was packing my home in California for the big moves, Sam from the shop called and informed me they received a new shipment of hoverboards. A few days later, we arrived at the shop about 30 minutes before they opened, but the owner Johnathan was kind enough to open his store early and sell us a Gold metallic finish hoverboard. Compared to the ones my son and I have seen online and at shopping mall kiosks, this hoverboard is more solidly constructed and operates very smoothly. Johnathan explained that he is very pleased with his supplier, and his price is very competitive with what is offered online and at shopping mall kiosks. He also services them, although I doubt we'll need it. An extra bonus was the wireless remote that can be used to electronically lock the hoverboard. We highly recommend this shop for hoverboards. If we ever need a scooter, I would strongly consider the Charlotte Scooter Shop based on their responsiveness and courtesy.
