| - If I could give less than 1 star, I would, probably negative 10 stars. Run, don't walk away from this clinic. The Camelback office. In the waiting room for 2-1/2 hours. There's no excuse for that. Office staff rude and unprofessional. Standing around in the back talking personal lives with each other and looking at patients as if they are an intrusion to their "work" day. It appears they hire minimally trained "medical assistants" rather than actual medical professionals. Good for their bottom line but dangerous for patients. Was scheduled for a procedure. Get this. The OFFICE scheduler, an office worker with no medical training told me "you have to go off your blood thinner for 2 weeks prior to the procedure. I'm a retired RN with a history of blood clots and pulmonary embolism (blood clot to the lung) on lifelong blood thinners. I told her that I would not be going off any blood thinners. She replied "you have to". No, dear, I do not "have to" endanger my life because you think you have a clue. She proceeded to argue with me, yes, argue with me and finally asked did I want to schedule the procedure or not. I asked to speak to the Dr. she said they're busy, they'll call you. I said no, I want to speak to the Dr. she said well then you'll have to wait. Fine. At this point I should have cut and run. What was I thinking continuing with this farce. The Dr came out of the room and after I explained my specific situation he said, you don't have to be off your blood thinners. I can't help but wonder what would have happened to someone less knowledgeable or able to stand up for their patient rights and health. That arrogant girl at the scheduling desk could have actually been responsible for a patients death. Fast forward to the actual procedure which, again, I should've known better than to allow them to do. Ive had the procedure at an actual professional clinic and knew what should be done. This procedure was a joke. Several critical diagnostic steps were completely skipped, the MA gave me an IM shot that resulted in a deep hematoma that took months to resolve. This happens as a result of improper technique used when giving IM injections. The procedure was rushed to say the least. Unbelievably rushed to be more accurate and as the doctor was scurrying out the door I asked about result time frame and he said you're fine, we'll get back to you. I said well should I keep taking the medicine I'd been on for retention. I got a blank look and he said no, don't take it ( I doubt he even knew what it was) and rushed out the door. The results came back as idiopathic micro hematuria which is fancy terminology for blood in your urine that we can't explain. There was no test for retention done. I couldn't help but think that this clinic is just all about the money. I vowed to never return but inexplicably discontinued the medication. I know, what was I thinking? I knew better. Well, sure enough in about a month got a raging bladder infection requiring multiple rounds of antibiotics and an ER Dr (we were traveling and in a small town with that being the only option) telling me to go back on the medication. I just cannot say enough about how poorly this clinic conducts its business. Suspecting interstitial cystitis at this writing but will seek out a professional urology clinic that actually cares more about the patient than the bottom line. Had they done their job correctly I wouldn't have suffered through these bouts of pain for the last year. They called to schedule a follow up appointment and I laughed and said no, I won't be coming back. They could've cared less.
