I have not stayed at an Intercontinental Hotel before so this location in downtown Toronto is our first experience. It was arranged as part of our trip to Toronto organized by the Yankee Air Museum. We were dropped off by taxi at the main entrance on Front Street and were quickly greeted and directed to the check in area inside. The clerk there was quick and friendly in getting us registered, gave us our room keys, and pointed us in the direction of the elevators.
Our room was deluxe and came with Club Floor Lounge access, complimentary WiFi, complimentary continental breakfast, and more. And then there was the view! We looked out our windows and saw Ripley's Aquarium and CN Tower!
We got in a bit later than was originally planned so we rested up a bit and then made our plans for dinner. But in the back of my mind I was really looking forward to being able to relax in the room later.
The day of our departure we had breakfast in the club lounge and then were able to do our check out right there and headed to the lower level to catch our ride back to the airport. Everyone we dealt with was polite and friendly but very professional. This would likely be top of my list for a return visit because of the facilities, the people, and the location.
