My airline is a corporate sponsor, so I get 2 for 1 tickets. Yay! I like this venue, but I don't love it. This was my third time here. I was exhausted by about Floor 3. There are some cool displays and some interesting information, but I don't think I would have been too thrilled to have paid full price. The best part is the Induction section. Huge screens with videos highlighting inductions over the years. It is long. But you get to sit down. After walking around the museum for about three hours, it felt good to do so. Parking is $8 in the lot to the east of the museum, close to the lake. It was the cheapest lot we found. The thing that bothers me about this museum is the music competing with other music. For example, the Beatles section is close to the Rolling Stones section, but you can't really appreciate the background music playing for either one, since you hear pieces of "Love Me Do" when you are trying to appreciate "Satisfaction". The costumes on display are another great section of the museum. I loved that part. It gets a little crowded on the weekends, so try to go during the week if you can. I will probably return again if I have friends from out of town visiting, but I am happy I don't have to pay full price.
