| - Do not stay here. TV in room did not work during my last six separate stays here. Asked at front desk to honor the Hilton no-pay guarantee, but desk agent was interrupted by a phone call so I went to pick up breakfast in the ajoining area of the lobby. This highly offended her, even though another front desk agent was available to pick up that call. I believe she welcomed the interruption.
During my previous stay, right after 6PM check-in I wanted to see a special 6PM TV program on basic cable but the TV in that room did not work at all. A maintenance person came to change out that TV for a working TV, but I had to watch that program on my phone, sitting on the bed. Hotel management should learn that this isn't what guests are paying for.
That TV having been changed out, for my next reservation I used the Hilton Honors app to choose the same room that has the replacement TV. But I was given a different room because the main first floor hall was being dried out from a water leak there, so I was assigned a different room on the fifth floor where the premium cable channels did not work. As it was after 9 PM, I would rather just sleep than have someone working on the TV in my room again.
Do you think it's possible for hotel management to ensure that everything is working in rooms before guests are assigned there? Not this management. This hotel needs new management, for sure. Sadly, I will be cancelling my reservation here for later this week. There are plenty of other hotels nearby for same or lower prices. Had hoped to build up my Hilton "stays" here to achieve Diamond status again.
Parking lot for this hotel has many large monster trucks and other construction vehicles parked in small spaces. If I had my personal vehicle, I would be concerned about doors being damaged. Some parking areas are dimly lit.
Hilton's "guarantee" is worthless.
