| - We stayed here on a trip to Vegas to visit family who live in Summerlin, only a few minutes from the Red Rock, so the location was perfect. It's pretty close to the gorgeous red rock park, but the hotel itself is surrounded by busy roads and businesses as others have noted. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful resort. Everything felt new, shiny, and clean. Our room was modern and big enough for us with a lovely view of the nice pool area. The huge marble tub in the bathroom was a nice touch. The pool area was lovely and not terribly crowded. It is also worth noting that this hotel is far from the chaos of the strip, which made it a much more relaxing and civilized stay. The crowd consisted of less drunk rowdy people and more, well, mellow vacation-goers. The downside to this is that it is quite a drive to all the action and stuff to do on the strip. Nevertheless, the hotel itself is very nice and made for a great stay. The casino was surprisingly well ventilated. They have a huge variety of eating options, everything from a fast-food food court to an upscale steakhouse. Their in-house buffet was not bad for breakfast, but we mainly ate more in the main part of town. Another one of the highlights was the spa, which was wonderful and very relaxing! The staff overall was nice and accommodating, despite there being a long wait for our room to be ready upon check-in. Overall, I would say Vegas is definitely not a town for me, but if I did end up coming back, I would definitely stay at the Red Rock again.
