We came to this Ford dealership (and then purchased at Sanderson Ford - a much better experience!!). The salesman did the "let me check with my manager" tactic several times, including stopping us on our way out to have the manager try to pitch us himself about their financing rates. We had made it clear we weren't purchasing that day since we didn't bring the planned trade-in vehicle purposefully. Also, there was a vehicle we considered but then noticed it was being sold "As Is," which would mean exactly that - as is, no warranty. The salesman tried to tell us that no, there were still warranties on the hybrid battery and and such, but if this was the case it wouldn't be advertised as "As Is." The salesman repeatedly told us we could "just sign the contract and then if we find a better APR at our own bank they will tear up the contract like it never existed." No, that's not what a contract is - no one should ever "just sign a contract" without being fully aware this is a legal binding document, and they would have no reason to stick to their word of "tearing it up" if we found a better option. Don't bother coming here unless you want to deal with nonsense. The guy seemed nice, but those tactics are shady and not an okay business practice.
