  • I'm a huge fan of both J'Adore and their sister salon La Pure over in Plaza Midwood. These two and Tiptoe are my three go-to places of the moment. I love that you can request an appointment on Yelp. Let's be honest though, I never think to make nail appointments. It's always a spur of the moment, oh crap my nails need to be fixed, kind of thing. The pretty light fixtures and plush throne-like chairs make you feel fancy (I will say I like the chairs at La Pure better). When you sit down, you pick either lavender buds or rose petals for your soak bath. The receptionist type person will then hand you a drink menu (beer, wine, and a laundry list of tea options) and a menu of services. Gel polish with mani ($40) and De-Reve pedi ($48) is my usual combo here. I tend to zone out and people watch out the window. They have a great selection of colors here. They also have sky dip available as well. Everyone is nice here. I will say every visit the girls at the counter are always checked out and on their phones the entire time. America, 2018.
