  • I LOVE LUCULLUS PINEAPPLE BUNS!!! I've been a fan of Lucullus ever since the opening of their flagship store in Richmond Hill and it's pretty incredible to see how the chain has spread over the GTA. This location in particular is absolutely gorgeous. The decor reminds me of very gothic European times. The pastries are also VERY good quality. Recently, I bought 3 pineapple buns from Chinatown Toronto and was absolutely disgusted by how bland they were. It really made me realize how delicious the buns from this bakery are. They are very generous with the fillings, the toppings aren't overly sweet, and the proportions of all the ingredients balance perfectly for an amazing dessert. Everything from their wide assortment of pineapple buns, taro buns, puff pastries, croissants, mochi, and cakes are very tasty :) Although a bit on the pricey side, Lucullus is still a lot cheaper than most Western dessert shops - the quality is well worth the extra dollars. Note!! They do not give you cups of water for free... :( Overall, four of five stars :D
