  • To be honest, I would give the hospital a four star, but there is a doctor there who is fantastic. My maltipoo had presented with massive bloody vomiting. After having gone to another Vet on a Friday night, and after $2400 in tests and boarding at that place, the other hospital wanted what amounted to just under $10,000 to save my dog's life. My dog had a really sick gall bladder. What to do? I was in tears, but then I called University on a Saturday night. Dr Koch, their surgeon called me back late at night on a Sat. and told me that if my dog could live till really early Monday morning, he would remove the gallbladder for $2000. I brought my dog in on Monday morning, and he was wonderful. He hugged my dog and called her amazing, and performed the surgery. Not one problem. Her scar is about six inches and it was sewn so nice you don't even see it. Actually, now that I think about it, I still give them a five star.
