I went yesterday to get my two cats groomed and was happy to find a location with Ncgia certification. Well the cfmg does not groom cats anymore and the groomers aren't grooming to NCGIA standards. The belly cuts went to high into the chest and the sani trims went to far out on the legs. Not to mention my cats both still had oily fur.
I went to the owner and her son to look for proper rectification of unhappy service and just got blame back at me as the owner of my cats. I was told it's their diet but not possible since I feed my babies a high end no grain diet. Also they are regularly groomed as I am a groomer but am moving so needed someone else to groom them. I was told very soon that I would not be refunded my money. I never asked for a refund but both her and her son told me this and the fact that they both said this makes me think they have dealt with complaints like this before.
I went on to explain the professional thing to do would be to offer to redo the groom and as a groomer who stands behind their grooms and advertised show grooming and this is not how you would send a cat to the show.
The Owner ended the phone call by hanging up and letting me know to post my review she didn't care.
I know a show groom as I have groomed show cats and know what a show groom entails.
As a fellow groomer who has groomed show cats I cannot recommend this salon. I went through every avenue possible before posting photos and leaving a review.
All I can say is this shop is not under a CFMG as she no longer grooms cats. If your looking for a CFMG you'll need to go to the NCGIA website and find the one other in the area. I honestly wish I had gone there first.
****BTW I just moved to Charlotte and have only been here maybe a week.
