While not a particularly large museum, I found the Levine Museum of the New South to be very well done. Wandering through the exhibits gives an excellent representation of all facets of southern history - both the good and the bad. There are many interactive exhibits that make the museum interesting for people of all ages, children included. I recommend watching the short introductory movie when you first enter, as it does truly set the stage for what you'll be seeing. Charlotte can be proud of this interesting and informative museum.
