We stayed at the MGM for a conference with my company. I have stayed in Vegas over a dozen times, but never at the MGM. The room smelled like pot, you can't use the refrigerator without incurring a charge, there's no safe to keep your belongings, and worst of all--the front desk staff are rude and unhelpful. I was overcharged 3 separate times on my credit card, each time being told no one could see the charges I saw on my card. I spent over 3 hrs in person and on the phone trying to resolve these charges and I'm still fighting. I was also told my initial deposit of $250 would not be credited to my account. Despite a block rate of $160-190/night, our bill for 4 nights was over $1200. You can stay at much nicer hotels on the strip for much less money with superior customer service. I will never stay here again and will continue to recommend that my friends do not either.
