| - Yesterday was one of the best days I've had in a very long time... and I was CAR SHOPPING. Not something you usually hear, but I have a feeling the people at DriveTime hear it everyday.
After being in the hospital for a week, missing 3 weeks of work, and being in incredible chronic pain, my good ol' Ford Explorer's transmission finally went out on me at the worst possible time. And I had no idea where I was going to find a dealership that would approve me and my terrible credit score, along with only having a small amount of money for a down payment.
I found DriveTime through Google and thought everything they said was too good to be true. I reluctantly entered in my information online, and was given a quote I knew couldn't possibly be realistic. And despite my doubts, I still went in to this place thinking I was going to be dooped into buying a crappy car that I couldn't afforord.
I am so, SO happy they proved me dead wrong! The moment I walked into DriveTime my unlucky streak had finally come to an end.
I was greeted with smiles all around and was promptly introduced to Faith, whom with no surprise or coincidence, gave me a full day of just that! I was instantly impressed by her professionalism and genuinity. I knew nothing about DriveTime or buying a car for that matter. So I had a plethora of questions and concerns, all of which were answered sincerely and with the utmost patience.
I really appreciated that all of my information was taken first before proceeding with looking at cars. I knew exactly what budget frame I was working with, and I knew that with that information already stated, I was not going to be persuaded into getting a car I didn't want or couldn't afford.
The best part of this day was that at no point did I ever feel like I was being sold something. I truly felt like Faith was just a friend of mine that knew a lot about cars and was genuinely concerned with getting me into one that would make me happy, give me what I needed, and be at a price I could afford. And she did exactly that!
And oh I did not make it easy on her, that's for sure! After making this poor girl show me half the cars on their lot, and then making her drive me to another lot to see cars there- I had finally found, "The One." It was love at first sight!
Then Faith helped me return my rental car so I wouldn't be charged an extra day, she even vacuumed out the dog hair for me while I was inside calling my insurance company! She was absolutely amazing and so helpful all day long.
The paperwork was a breeze, the finance staff was very knowledgeable and patient with me. I got my 5 year warranty, gap coverage, and a GPS tracking device all financed within my loan. My itty bitty down payment was set in place, my first payment isn't due for a month... I was given one more favor by the fabulous Faith, a mini photo shoot with me and my new love. (Gotta make it Facebook official, you know. ;) The keys were in hand and that was all she wrote!
By far the best consumer experience I've ever had in my life. The greatest customer service, professional atmosphere, straight forward answers, genuine kindness and care. I would recommend this company to everyone in search of a new car, but especially those that are trying to build or reestablish credit.
Today I walked into DriveTime to what I thought was going to be a total nightmare, and left rolling away in a total dream come true. It just goes to show- sometimes you just have to take a leap of Faith! ;)
