i had my nails & toes done here recently. it cost around $50 for both a manicure and pedicure, so it's definitely no discount place. there are smaller full-service salons in the area that are around the same cost. overall, my nails were pretty well done. the polish on my nails lasted 5-6 days which is pretty long for me. the toes are still going strong. overall, the salon was pretty clean and comfortable. my main complaint involves the huge flat screen televisions that hang above the pedicure and manicure stations. my nail tech seemed more concerned with the local news than doing my nails, and quite honestly, when i go to the salon, i'm not wishing to catch up on what's happening in the TV world. i'm coming to the salon to ESCAPE, and i don't want to be barraged by media except a nice quiet magazine. also, the tech was giving me the hard sell on some "two week" miracle polish, and i really don't want to have to continually fight off an up-sale while i'm getting my nails done. the location and ability to walk-in without an appointment are very appealing and my nails looked great and lasted beyond what i expected. but if a salon fails to feel like a refuge, it won't succeed in keeping me as a customer.
