We brought over a few bags of name brand clothes here to see if we could make some cash from our closet. We watched them accept a grip of costume wear, bowties and jeans from the people in front of us. So we thought that our gear would be well withing their buying premise. Boy were we wrong!. Out of all the CK, DKNY, RVCA, Billabong, Quicksilver, Perry Ellis, and Ed Hardy (not mine the GF's) all they found worthy was a pair of chaps shorts that were going to fetch us a measly $2.40 in trade in credit...
Yes, these are mainstream brands but much of the stuff we brought in were in much better shape than a good amount of the items on their racks. Lots of cheap H&M, Diamond Supply CO and forever 21 spotted. Much or the surf (Pac Sun) brands were overpriced and near outlet prices! I will say that I was impressed with the throwback adidas sweats and jackets that they had on the racks but it was still a bit much for used clothes.
In all honesty I did not understand who or what style they were into buying. It seemed more like a buys and sell closet for the "cool kids" who were in the inner circle with the store workers.
If you are looking to make money off of your old clothes, take the tax deduction and save yourself the hassle and embarrassment of bringing your clothes and being snubbed as unfashionable and uncool.
