  • I went to Carolina Allergy knowing I was allergic to dairy but trying to find out what else was going on. I was placed with Dr. Roberts and I knew as soon as I saw him something was off. I just didn't get a good feeling from him at all. During the exam, he insisted on arguing with me about the dairy allergy saying that it wasn't an allergy, just an intolerance. I told him numerous times how severe it was, but he kept arguing about it. At the end of the exam, he said once again that I was not allergic to dairy. Well that weekend I decided to have something with dairy in it, just to test out his theory, and, wonder of wonders, my throat closed and I stopped breathing! After being rushed to the ER, they said I was in fact allergic to dairy and to stay far far away. This horrible hack of a doctor almost got me killed! If I had not gotten the help I did as fast as I did, things could have been so much worse. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. You should not have to argue with a "doctor" or anyone else about your health. I will never be going back there again. I don't even want my file transfered to another allergist. I'll just start all over with someone new.
