  • I really did have a hard time decided how many stars to give this place. There was some ups and downs with the whole experience. I'll write this review and you decide how many stars it should have... Decor: when walking into the restaurant, I will say it looks stunning. The ambiance is very relaxing, romantic. The bar is right next to the entrance, and there's a nice fireplace not far away. It was very welcoming, and I felt like this was going to be an intimate experience. Food: ok, so this is where the review gets a little muddled. We all got three courses, and the first was the cheese fondue. We decided to get cheddar, and spinach artichoke. When the began making it, the cheese looked like something you'd buy from the store. Kraft shredded cheese to be exact. It had that white hue to it, and looked preserved/processed. The taste wasn't the most pleasant either. Tasted like cheap beer mixed with cheap cheese. For $9 a person, I would've liked something more. It came with stale tasting bread, and some apples. Then some of us got salads, which totally improved the mood. I got the Cesar salad, which was nice. It had parmesan coated pine nuts, tasted delicious. So, that's a huge plus. Main course was interesting. We got the complimentary court bouillon cooking method. There are three others, which cost around $6 a person more, so that wasn't happening since we had a party of 8. It tasted and smelled like those cubed bouillon with some herbs thrown in. The entrees did have a decent portion size, but $20 bucks a plate was pretty steep. Dessert was amazing! We got two different chocolates, and they were delicious. It came with strawberries, pound cake, rice crispy treats, marshmallows, the works. That was a nice way to finish the meal. Service: so, this was hard. The waitress tried hard, but she also was non-existent at times. I had to go find her during the meal so we could get our main courses, and water fills. The restaurant wasn't packed by any means. Which left a sour note in our mouths. Overall: For the price paid, I feel like we should've received a lot more. Get better cheeses, something that doesn't taste fake. Lower the prices so it's more affordable for middle class patrons. For 8 people the bill was around $300 dollars, which is rough when there was only water, and 2 adult beverages added. So, I'd bring a nice amount of cash or money in the bank before coming.
