  • Ok. Moved here to Phx 10 days ago. New state. New city. New job. So why not a new 'do? Based on Yelp reviews, I decided to make a Saturday morning appointment with whoever was available - luck of the draw gave me Kathy. On Thursday, DH notifies me that we were meeting with the realtor Saturday morning. Oh snap. Called and Kathy squeezed me in for Friday late. I was a little concerned - back home, no stylist would squeeze you in on a Friday evening but, hey, I was shaggy and desperate. You know, Karma is an amazing thing. Somehow I ended up with Kathy who knows hair - seriously. She took one look and I felt like I was in the hands of an extremely talented Edwina Scissorhands. When she was done, I really didn't believe my eyes. I love my style. I am not sure I would have had the courage to try something this stylish but Kathy saw something and went with it - and I love it! It is not often that you can walk in and take that leap of faith but I did and it paid off. Sasseaze is not a huge place - but here is the best thing - it was kind of quiet and peaceful and didn't have that overwhelming nail+spray+color smell that so many places have. To me, there is nothing worse than going in for a haircut and having the music blasting and so many smells in the air that your sinuses are ready to send up the distress flag. So the salon is great and Kathy is great. So great that I booked my next appointment before I left (I didn't even have to think twice about it). So Sasseaze has my vote - reasonably priced, a great stylist, and a nice environment - it doesn't get much better than that!
