  • This is my favourite place in Montreal for Breakfast/Brunch :) It is at the far east end of Mont Royal on the plateau, so truly a local french crowd, staff and yes menus. Even if you don't speak a word of french, it is worth giving this a try. Their portions are larger than the typical frenchie foofy spots, and are simply delisssshhh. They are open and I've tried for a nice lamb dinner with wine ... but after so many 1pm breakfasts on the weekends, it just hits home to keep it as that for my spot ;). You'll see the fun Montreal crowd of Friday and Saturday nights here, mostly straight from the clubs or after parties on Sat/Sun morning and afternoon. The other good spots down on Mont Royal like Avenue or Grand Mere Poule or Cora or Les Folies all have their benefits and pluses ... but you can't beat Dans La Bouche. Often the smallest, or no line at all compared to the others on a Sat/Sun aft is a pleasant bonus as well. Go and enjoy and chill at this one.
