Nandos is super popular in England (used to live there; there are 300 Nandos in England therefore its an official epidemic). Nandos is mostly self-serve but the waiters bring your food, so its no big deal.
The new style is eclectic- showing design inspired from their main headquarters in South Africa mixed with bright colours and patterns. In comparison to England, the place is much more fun and lively while in England, the style is more laid back. I honestly loved how bright and airy it was on a cold February day in Toronto.
Massive amount of seating, and there is a private room in the back. It wasn't busy but it definitely has the capability to be packed.
I ordered the "veggie sandwich"; two sides of "spiced" rice (forever called "spicy rice" in my heart) and grilled corn on the cob and bottomless coke for a total of $15. The veggie sandwich is different than the standard soy burger you get in Toronto and it was delicious. My favorite part was this location has the most amazing range of drinks. I was freaking out to see coke cherry; coke lemon; coke lime and coke vanilla. The food tasted just as good as always and I am very happy to see a central location for Nandos in Toronto (finally!)
