| - I haven't been here in quite awhile, I found a new pediatrician, but let me tell you why...
I had a billing issue and needed to talk to the billing department. The lady on the other end of the phone started arguing with me about the specifics of my case (basically they owed me money for collecting the wrong co-pay because I had been under double coverage at the time). She was so snotty and rude and guess what? She hung up on me!
I immediately called back and asked her to speak to the manager. She says the manager isn't there! Hangs up AGAIN! So I go in to the office to make sure my insurances were billed, I wanted a physical record or something, plus I wanted to confront this horribly rude and unprofessional person.
I go up to the front window and inform the lady there that I was hung up on and that I need to speak to the billing lady. She leaves and comes back with a copy of my insurance being billed. The chicken couldn't come out and speak to me face to face. Also, the lady up front didn't seem to bat an eyelash about me, as a client, being hung up on.
Rule of thumb: it doesn't matter if the client/customer is wrong (I wasn't in this case, though), it doesn't matter if they are frustrated with YOU, it doesn't matter if you're having a bad day, you absolutely, never EVER hang up on them. Twice!
Also, I never got the money back they owed me.
