I really wanted to love this place and am so torn with these type of establishments. I love sea creatures and was truly hoping for a rescue type of place for the larger types but unfortunately I only saw 2 turtles that they may have rescued since they both were missing a limb.
The minute you walk into the building you immediately smell dead fish ( you know that smell of an asian fish market, yeah that smell ), and I have NEVER smelled dead fish walking into any aquarium before EVER and I have been to several from the east coast to the west coast and all up and down both coasts. Low and behold as we started walking around, I found a dead fish in one of their tanks ( see picture )!!!
I noticed that the environment of these creatures werent natural. Some of these salt and fresh water creatures need real plants, corral, etc to survive. Everything was fake~it was very upsetting. Also something that other aquariums have are natural habitats, this place did not...all FAKE !
I also noticed some dolphin thing next door, I didnt even bother checking it out because if they brought dolphins to the desert thats a whole different level of disgust !!!
With my love for the ocean, water and living things , I dont think I will ever come back here again.
