1st visit: Lunch on a Thursday. Oyster special (not so special) $1.50/raw oyster, $2/cooked oysters. If you get a half dozen or more it's basically the same as the regular pricing. Nice thing is they let you order less than a 1/2 dozen of each so you can mix & match without spending full order prices.
Ordered 2 fried oysters: crispy light breading, large, plump & juicy, best thing I had there.
2 raw oysters: small and not the freshest
2 oysters Rockefeller: small but good
2 grilled oysters: small, okay but a little dry
1/2 lobster roll ($5.95 special that day): more like lobster/seafood salad roll, looks like a mix of seafood or fake crab w maybe a little lobster thrown in, no chunks of lobster (this a bar that serves food, why would I think they would have a good lobster roll, especially at that price?)
The $6 check-in Guinness offer is of no value, that is the regular price of Guinness there. Deducted a star because the management knows this is of no value and won't offer anything else in exchange. Seems a bit deceptive to act like you're giving somebody a deal for checking in on Yelp when you're really not.
Waiter was very friendly and helpful.
