Booked a room on Hotwire for my 19 year old son who was traveling from Michigan to Cleveland. Hotwire's website said check in was age 18 with valid ID. My son arrived on 11/12 only to have the rude front desk clerk tell him that their policy was 21 and up and there was "no way" she could give him a room. I then called her, wish I could remember her name, and explained my son and daughter just traveled from Michigan to attend a concert and now had no where to stay. I also explained Hotwire had the policy listed as "18 with a valid Id", she told me, "Those third party booking sites will tell you whatever they want to book a room." In my opinion, the hotel should honor what a booking site promises. She then stated "the Marriott will take them", I replied that the Marriott rates were 3x the price of the Hampton. She didn't care. Wasn't helpful at all and had a piss poor attitude and clearly needs a Customer Service 101 class. Thanks, whatever your name is for leaving two teenagers stranded. Thankfully I googled quickly and called the Raddison and got Skyler who was ever so helpful and made a special exception to give my kids a safe place to stay for the night. I would never stay at this Hampton Inn after we were treated this way. Oh and not to mention the Valet attendant offered to park their car at a lot down the street for $10 instead of the hotel rate of $28. Sketchy!!!!
