| - Just came here with my son & daughter for breakfast before school. Everything was going smoothly until we got our food. We had 2 or 3 bites, when my daughter (whom is 4) had to use the bathroom. My son is 2, so of course i couldn't leave him at the table alone. We all stood up and walked over to our server and asked her where the restroom was (which would obviously indicate we weren't leaving, as would the fact that our plates were full, and my purse and a large backpack were still at the table). We came back 3 minutes later to find a completely cleared table. I asked our server where our food went and she simply said "they cleared it". No apology, instead an attitude. Obviously I was irritated because I didn't have time to sit and wait 15-20 mins for new food to come out and then let my kids eat...and so my kids were still hungry. I had to take my daughter to school. They insisted on giving us a to go box of mushy cantaloupe and honey dew. The thought was nice, but really, my kids wouldn't even touch it because of the sad condition it was in.
All in all, here's the thing that really got to me... no one even gave a SIMPLE apology. Doesn't matter what you assumed, you made a mistake, so simply say "I'm sorry, what can we do to make it right?" and move on. That's a pretty basic part of hospitality, that I know. The fact that their servers had an attitude towards me after I explained to them that I was not willing to pay for three meals of which we had 2 bites from each... says a lot. I won't be coming back here; which is a shame, because the last time I came here back in November, I enjoyed the food and coffee. But to be honest, I can find endless restaurants with healthy, amazing food WITH respectful service all over Phoenix and Scottsdale.
Edit: I just looked at your other reviews and I see that we are definitely not the only ones experiencing negative attitudes at this establishment. Hopefully you guys retrain your staff in hospitality for the sake of keeping customers coming back. A little kindness goes a really long way.
