Last time we said here was 36 years ago on our honeymoon. It, thankfully, has been updated since then.
We recent stayed here because we were flying out early the next morning. It was also a bit of nostalgia.
I debated between 3 and four stars - there were some real plusses and a few minuses.
The minuses:
- The restaurant food was OK, but the service was very slow.
- The service in the lounge was also very slow to nonexistent.
- The business center allows you to print off up to 3 pages for boarding passes, after that it is ten cents a page. We needed 4 pages - decided to get the passes at the airport.
- The HVC unit in the room was very loud. I just turned it off. Luckily it was a cool night.
- The standard rooms are very small - minor issue since we just stayed one night.
The Plusses:
+ The bed was really comfortable with real grown-up pillows.
+ Loved the fluffy, soft linens and duvet
+ The room was very clean
+ Everything has been updated and remodeled since the late 70's
+ Check-in was easy and efficient
+ It is really really close to the terminal. We could have walked over.
+ If you have a rental car from Enterprise, you can drop it off at the hotel and not hassle with the Car rental facility and shuttle at the airport.
+ Free wi-fi in the room as well as in the lobby
+ Lots and lots of hot water in the shower
+ The free shuttle is available 24 hours
I would stay here again if I have an early flight out of Cleveland. The convenience alone make it worth while.
