| - I was introduced to Montreal-style bagel a few months ago when I visited Montreal. When a friend in Port Credit told us that there is a Montreal bagel shop nearby, we decided to get breakfast there.
Montreal style is denser, less fluffy, and sweeter than New York style, which is what most of us are used to. Our favorite here is the big bagel twister, which is a gigantic bagel made with twisted dough looped into a ring. They have cute names for the other varieties: Simply Sesame, Only Onion, Proud Poppy, Exciting Everything... They also have cheese bagels shaped like a horseshoe, and they can do sandwiches too, but personally I don't like them too much, the sweetness feels weird with savory stuff, and takes some getting used to.
It's a small place with about 4 tables, should you want to eat in.
