We were staying at the Palazzo and I thought I'd take advantage of their spa and get a mani/pedi. I was a bit surprised that the charge was almost $200. But I thought it must be one hell of a mani pedi so I went for it. When in Vegas... But not only was there nothing special it was actually less luxurious or pampering than what I'd get at my local nail salon for $30. There was barely a massage included, the chairs were uncomfortable and didn't even have the massage option in it. The mani and pedi took 50 minutes each but instead of it being two hours of relaxation I spent the time in an uncomfortable chair watching the nail technician work in painstaking detail. Not really necessary for a simple gel job. Yes you get access to the spa amenities for that price but even those are an average level in comparison to spas for that price in Los Angeles. I would have complained at the desk but there were already two people in front of me complaining about some scheduling mishap. That being said, no one mistreated me though the nail technician seemed put out when I explained that I didn't want my cuticles cut. All in all, I think it's just a sub par spa with first class pricing. I should have left the casino and gone down the street to a local salon and saved my money for gambling.
