| - Hate to give even one star. I bought a brand new 2014 MDX last June. (Paid cash) I've been recovering from the "bait and switch" ever since. The car I decided I wanted to purchase apparently was already sold. That is what they told me so I'd have to wait a week for another car to get to the dealership. What I learned months later was the car I purchased was a car that was from a lot in Tucson, Arizona. It had hard water damage throughout. When I drove it off the lot I noticed the windshield was dirty and sent an email to my salesman to let him know that they should clean off their cars before handing them over to the customer. In my wildest dreams did I ever SUSPECT that I was being sold a luxury car that had hard water damage. I had numerous other issues with this dealership. I bought a bike rack from them as well. When I asked them to remove the bike rack, because I was unable to, I noticed they put a 1/4 gash in my bumper. After several attempts at trying to get them to make it right (they put a blob of paint over the gash - told me "this is as good as it gets") I took my business to Las Vegas Acura. I spent 90 days last Fall overseas working so this car was garaged the whole time. When I returned in November, I took it to Las Vegas Acura where they repaired my bumper. I kept noticing the dirty windows and kept complaining they needed to be cleaned. Finally, the service manager at Las Vegas Acura told me the window had hard water damage! I then went to my friendly car wash people for an opinion and was told the entire car had hard water damage and that this is hard to detect on a white vehicle. I went to Exoticar of Las Vegas and told the same thing and asked why doesn't Acura give you a new car? I complained numerous times to Acura Customer Relations about the treatment at Findlay Acura - from the scratch on the bumper, to the way the staff treated me there to finally asking to do the right thing and give me a car that did not have water damage. They told me I had the car too long. Most of the time I owned the vehicle I had it stored in my garage. So in Feb. I went to Las Vegas Acura and traded for a new car that was NOT water damaged spending another $6,600. I asked Acura to refund these monies. (my 2014 had 3,500 miles on it) I was a victim of fraud committed by this dealership.
I have been documenting all the poor service by this dealership since I purchased the 2014 last June. I wrote to the President of Honda. About a month ago Customer Service called saying they were from Executive Offices of Honda and offered me $250. The person asked me if I would like that. Of course, I said sure, would take anything but that what I wanted was a refund of $6,600. I still have not even received this $250. (note: my attorney advised me not to take them to court because with such a big corporation, it was unlikely I'd win and I'd be out the $5,000 retainer fee) I put the money into trading my water damaged MDX for one that was not water damaged.
I will never buy another Honda product. I can't wait to trade this car in. It was an investment for me for the next 10 years and Findlay turned it into a nightmare. The only thing that keeps me sane in this insane world is that KARMA is a Bitch!!!!!
