rev:text	I have lived in the , now , Scottsdale Horizon apartments for four years. For the past few years I have experienced a problem with black mold in the bath area. I advised them in writing and nothing was done. They simply sent in maintenance workers who simply caulked over the black mold and, of corse, it came back. I had it tested in the lab at my work and determined that it was, in fact , black mold. I advised them again of my evidence. They then sent in a team to tear out the walls in an attempt to remediate the black mold. After seeing what they had done , I felt very uncomfortable and feared for my health going forward. I gave my 60 day notice and prepared to move out. I have no doubt t that, at least, the adjacent apartments also have black mold . When i moved in , it was noted by me and the apt. representative that the carpets were dirty and stained. I was promised that they would be replaced - they never were. During the final walk through it was noted that a 3 inch crack was evident at the front corner of the kitchen sink. It was barely visible, but, it was there. I took pictures from top and bottom of the crack and showed it to a professional granite installer. I was advised that this is a very weak area in all installations and must be supported by proper plywood and "rodding". This had neither. I was also advised by the apt. representative that they have other cracks exactly like this in the same location. I just received a bill for $1663.00 for the small crack in the granite , which, is not real granite and is of wall mart quality, plus a bill for $55.00 to clean the carpet which will be immediately replaced and was stained and filthy when I moved in. These people are unethical , at best, and possibly criminal in their approach to business and their residents. They seem to have little to no regard for the health and safety of their residents. Further , parking is horrendous. No spots for guests and outsiders parking in your assigned spot. Please stay away from this place , they are very bad people!!!
