  • I have always shopped for my groceries at Safeway. Over the years they greatly improved the quality of many of their products, especially their store brands. I love the Ranchers Select beef, in particular. I've had ribeye steaks from Frys and other stores but we could always tell with the first bite it wasn't beef from Safeway. I listened to those who complained of this or that, but for me I love Safeway. I just pray with Albertsons taking them over that the quality of food and the professionalism of their staff isn't diminished as a result.
