| - I would give two stars for the food and pricing, but the manager of Rooster's bumped it to three stars.
Though it was not my favorite dining experience, the manager came by personally several times during the meal to check on the taste and experience, as well as delivered part of our order to the table himself. Kudos to this gentleman for caring about his customers, that did not go unnoticed.
The waitress noticed us taking time to look at the menu and when we presented questions to her she states "this must be your first time". Well, yes, but that should have probably been asked upon our seating and her introduction. We gave her the benefit of the doubt but she performed her job in a flustered manner on the evening that we dined.
For taste, I must say the meal was only mediocre. I had the quarter chicken with a side of green beans (most items are a la carte), my boyfriend had the steak burger. The waitress did not understand our original order and never brought our second side, which was going to be the pan fried corn. Flavor lacked and I found myself wishing there was a sauce to dip the chicken in. Green beans had a watery sauce on them that in the end just watered down the spices that they tried to flavor with. Pricing is higher than what the quality of the meal deserves. But to each their own, you should always try a place at least once.
To leave you with a positive, the summer drink menu has a pineapple cocktail on it, this you should try, it was delicious.
