  • It has been a full 24 hrs since I came here and I'm still feeling frustrated. Initially I was happy, I called to make an appt for me and my little girl. I thought it would be fun to take her to get her first pedicure. They were able to give us an appt almost right away. When we showed up the guy (I think he is the owner) behind the front desk greeted us, and was especially sweet to my daughter. We got sat down for the pedicures. The girl that worked on my daughter was really sweet, though she was already painting her nails by the time my girl came over. She gave my daughter a hello kitty design and it was cute, if a bit wobbly. We were happy enough with it. My girl had highlights, I don't know her name but I am furious with myself for giving her a tip (I used to be a waitress so it really goes against the grain for me to not tip people). Anyway this woman wouldn't look at or talk to me. When I smiled at her and tried to be pleasant she ignored me other than a quick glance up. She spent all her time quiet or talking in another language (UGH MY NAIL SALON PET PEEVE!) to the girl doing my daughters nails. Then before I realized it she had put my top coat on and tried to put me out the door. I had wanted a design and not only did she not ask if I wanted one, I had to almost throw a fit to get her to pay attention to what I was saying. So she sits me down and walks off to do another person's nails. The girl that had been doing my daughters nails came over and said the nails had to dry to do the design. So we waited. Then my daughter's lady sat down to do the design. I had never shown her the design, just the other lady. I decided to trust that they had communicated what I wanted (#17! I think it was on the #2 example). Right from the beginning I was concerned. She was halfway done and I told her that it wasn't what I had picked out. She started talking about the size of my toenail which didn't make any sense since it isn't like a big toe nail is too small to fit the design, and too big of a toenail wouldn't be a problem for a design. It was like either she didn't understand me or was trying to justify that the pattern was off. I assumed it was a communication barrier at the time. I felt like I either had to throw a fit to the owner or cross my fingers that it would work out. I decided to hope for the best bc I didn't want my daughter to remember her first visit as negative. It looked horrible. What I had picked was kind of vinelike and whimsicle, what I got looked like wobbly cheetah spots with some lines. I was debating what to do while I was drying and this same woman got a basket of candy to offer my daughter. I let her have two. The woman kept telling her to take more, which she didn't. Two more times she brought the basket over and told her to eat more candy. This frustrated me. We probably had to say no to the candy basket 10 times (not exaggerating!) before she would put it down. In the end we had been there for over an hour for a simple pedicure appt, most of which was me sitting around and my daugher getting restless. I finally got up to go pay bc I was tired of waiting. Like I said I decided not to throw a fit because 1. I wanted to leave 2. I didn't think it would help 3. My daughter was restless and it would have meant more time 4. It would have turned more negative than it already was and I didn't want my daughter remembering that. So. DON"T. GO. THERE. It was $50. What a waste of money. It's a good thing I can do a lilly flower bc when I got home I put it over the top of the weird cheetah stuff and everything else just blended right in, so they look fine. If I couldn't do that though I would have had to repaint my toenails at home. Oh yes. And while I was getting the horrible design she was sweet enough to tell me my toes were weird and had been broken. I told her they had never been broken. She insisted they had been because they were "crooked". Uh, yeah. Like I loved that. So rude. Funny how she could speak english in that moment and not when I was trying to tell her she was doing the wrong design. Grrr.
