The subcontracted movers/loaders were awesome. BUT Public moving services price tripled once they had our belongings. We were credited back 200 (on a $10,000 move) because of the inconvenience and lies about the scheduled date of our delivery.
3 major items were broken. We opted for the .60 per pound for damage but they still demand receipts with purchase dates and amounts. Really? On items that were purchased over 20 years ago? So why have the per pound damage rate? The delivery carrier verified the damage and weight of the items. A 4x6 beveled glass dining room table top, an art deco concrete standing lamp that was crushed and a large connecting piece for a U-shape office desk. None of these are repairable. AS of now I have been on hold 1 hour 20 minutes. DO NOT USE PUBLIC MOVING SERVICES
