I was pleasantly surprised by aunt chilada's. I usually steer clear of restaurants that my fellow yelpers rate so low. However, it was my friend's birthday and this is where she choose. I started out with a rum runner that was very much on the pricy side, $9. It was strong, I wasn't expecting to get half my money's worth but I definitely did. The chips were brought out quickly and I was given a mild salsa and a spicy salsa. They were both really good. That's always my favorite part of Mexican restaurants. I'm not always a fan of Mexican food unless it's authentic. Most places, are too Tex mex for my liking. I ordered the special, a 6 oz steak with a cheese enchilada, black beans, and rice. I ate it all. It could have been the rum runner, but this was by far one of the best Mexican places I've eaten at. They also brought out a free birthday dessert with a candle that was delicious and big enough to share. The service was good, but it's a bit too pricy for what you get. I think because it's so close to the Arizona grande resort they price gouge. We didn't have reservations, but it was only two of us. It looked big enough to accommodate big groups and had many tables. The patio tables look lovely when if starts to cool downs.
