Attended a friend's wedding here. Really nice venue and spacious. Food was also good - not exceptional but no decent.
However, there are two major issues that make it undesirable for me to recommend anyone to hold their banquet here:
1) Food portions - Seemed tricky here. I know that the couple had to confirm their head count a week before to pay for the # of meals. There were two individuals that didn't show up last minute at my table, yet we never got the extra two portions that were already paid for. Nor was anyone offered more by our servers... this seemed to be the case at a few other tables as well where they were missing guests.
2) Service - Extremely bad service! I've been to intimate weddings and weddings with 400 + guests, this one had probably a little over a hundred so the wait staff was not stretched by any means. We had two servers per table, an old lady and old man who seemed to be may be making some extra money in their retirement? These two were the grumpiest people ever!
a) The old man was in charge of beverages and for the wine at the beginning and coffee/tea at the end we had to chase him down - typically the waiter will go around the table to ask you what you would like, but it appeared they asked once and it was meant to address the table so one person would get served and he would be off after. We asked for milk at one point and the waiter asked us if we were children and that didn't we know that this was a business and they can't just give us as much milk as we would like.
b) The old lady was super stingy on food portions, She went around putting a portion on each of our plates. I asked her to give an individual at our table a larger portion for a particular course as i knew she would want to eat some of the upcoming courses. She gave her one extra tiny piece of meat when there were TWO people missing from our table for which their portions should have been readily available to us.
