  • update: jose ended up apologizing. we didnt get the full money back, but i wasnt really upset about their policies. i was more upset with the way they treated us. however, Rosy threatened to call the cops on my boyfriend for having our dog try and attack her and she also claimed he tried to assault her. all lies and everyone knows what a problem Rosy is. she needs to be fired considering even the staff knows what a problem she is. tl;dr José and Rosy are rude, unprofessional people who stole 18 bucks from me because i used the hotel's towels to clean the FILTH that was on the floor. i read the bad reviews on here and i honestly didnt think twice of it. my boyfriend and i are young and dont mind our living environment even if it's a little dirty or whatnot. we're also broke at the moment and this was one of the cheapest hotels around. the lady at the front desk, Madison, was very nice which was surprising as the reviews of the management are horrible (which is what i was most worried about). i walked into the room, noticed it was a little dingy, but was also somewhat surprised as i imagined it to be worse. anyways, fast forward. while most of the room seemed decently cleaned, the floors were not. the floors are a gray, smooth surface. it's pet friendly so i see why they dont have carpet. however, this specific color of floor was obviously there to cover up the disgusting filth on the floors. i found this out by wiping up a water spill with one of the towels. i pulled the towel up from the floor and it was a medium grayish color. i thought maybe it was from us dragging dirt in, so i took another towel to the corner where we didnt touch at all and it came up dirty as well. i decided to use most rest of the towels to clean up the dirt as best as i could because i just did not want to walk in this barefoot. i didnt ask housekeeping to do it because i know they have hard jobs as is. well this whole experience taught me better and i can safely say i will just let housekeeping clean instead of being nice and doing it myself. anyways; i asked the maid, Rosy, for some more towels. she asked for the old ones and i handed them to her. she gave me an unprofessional look in disgust and told me we'd have to pay for those. she ended up screaming at us and telling us to follow her to the front desk. we had to get her name from her coworkers because she just would nit speak to us except to scream things unrelated to what we were asking her. we went to the front desk. this time it was a man named Jose. he told us that if we could wash them, we could get our money back and that we shouldve told them if the floors were dirty instead of cleaning it ourselves. which was stupid because the dirt is hidden by the color of the floor so we wouldnt have known that we were walking barefoot in filth if this didnt happen. so i wash them with a little bit of bleach and detergent and all the filth from the floor came out fine. i take it to the front desk, but this time Madison is at the front desk instead of Jose. i explain to her what happened and she looks at the towels and tells me she cant refund me for all of them because one is partially stained.... the problem with this is that the new towels we received from housekeeping had small stains on them too. all of them were worn out and dingy already. like i already stated as well, i dont like bossing housekeeping around if i can just do what needs to be done myself. i told her they were already stained, but she said there was no way she could prove they were stained beforehand. like what am i supposed to do; take a photo of all the towels before i use them so i dont get money stolen from me? there are a ton of reviews saying how everything is filthy. Madison was at least professional and i do feel like she was just doing her job the best she knew how to. she was polite and calm the entire time and i honestly might not be writing this review if Rosy and Jose practiced the same customer service skills. ive worked in customer service and i really hate those people who always complain and want to speak to the manager. however, im extremely poor at the moment and 15 dollars plus the three dollars it took to wash the towels is a lot of money to me. it takes a lot for me to complain like this, but these people are horrible.
