  • Awful. We moved from Colorado Springs to Cleveland recently and, after being a donor and a member of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where our children received top notch education about the animals, our entire family was warmly welcomed and the level of care for the animals and their exhibits was second to none, we will NEVER be returning to CLE Zoo. In my opinion, this Zoo is a disgrace to the Zoological Society. The employees are AWFUL, the staff members we encountered today (one at the 4D movie, one at the nectar purchasing area, one in the cafe and the last in the rainforest, were AWFUL and extremely disrespectful not just to us but during every encounter we witnessed. They made it blatantly apparent that they hated their jobs and anyone who dared ask a question to them. Is this how you run a safe haven for animals and a place of education for the next generation to protect our endangered species and the ecosystem? It's obvious that the money made and donated isn't going to guest experiences or enrichment for the animals. The board of trustees needs to take a long hard look at their staff, the excessive amount of litter on the property and the lack of programs for both animals and guests alike.
