Went on a Monday morning about 9ish. Not busy and it was our first visit. met with a big smile by a very friendly girl who sat us where we wanted to sit. Laura (mini) was our waitress, great service from her. The place has the feel of a high school cafeteria...nothing warm or very comfy. Stark is the word! The food, I really expected more froma restaurant concept that has had the noteriety of the original. The home fries were sparce and very average. The malt waffle was $7.00 and I coudn't taste any malt! My eggs benedict was average at best.....the sauasge inside was howver very tasty! And $6.00 for a glass of O.J. (fresh squeezed) but still a lot in my book! Overall, it seems this pace is living off the reputation the original USED to have. There seemed to be no passion, just folks going thru paces and no effort to WOW the customer with something worthy of a return trip! I will give them a 2nd chance, every place deserves a 2nd chance, but they better step up the presentation and WOW factor!
