  • James is extremely skilled. He listens and the result is exactly what you asked for. Every snip feels deliberate and precise. He doesn't keep you in the chair cutting away for an hour to justify high prices. In fact, having lived downtown for a decade, I'm confidant in saying his prices are too low. I have a short hair style, which requires skill in layering and blending, angles, etc. He's definitely the best I've found. Do yourself a favour and visit James. UPDATE November 2017: Not sure what was going on with James a few weeks back, but he gave me the worst haircut I've ever had. After months of me going to him for cuts, he was progressively listening less and less to what I wanted, and giving me something I hadn't asked for. This last time, he cut my hair extremely short in an area I had told him not to touch, and didn't cut the areas I told him needed a trim. I was on the verge of tears when I left. Will not return.
