| - Have an emergency? Need to see a doctor? Do yourself a favor and do not go here! For the sake of time I won't bore you with all the monotonous details of my three day stay here. Instead, I will do everyone a solid and jump straight to the most pitiful, disgusting, unbelievable part..
My IV alarm was going off (and had been for well over 10 minutes), the same bucket I had puked in all night hadn't been emptied and I had to throw up in it again (gross), I was in pain (I had an infection in my abdomen), and my nurse was not answering her call lights. The nurses aid came into my room to get my vitals and I asked her to please send me the charge nurse, she said ok, and walked out.
Miraculously, a minute later my nurse shows up at my bedside and asked me why I was upset. I let her know the laundry list of reasons (listed above) of why I was upset and asked her to get the charge nurse. She then proceeded to tell me the following
"It's not MY fault that I have four patients, I'm busy, and you have not communicated well with me. That's not my fault"
??
She doesn't empty my bucket, doesn't fix my IV, and doesn't give me anything. She just leaves my room after her fit.
Charge nurse never shows up. I then call the "Nursing staff manager" using my cell phone. She comes down. I tell her what had happened. She listened to me without interruption and simply says "We are switching nurses now (shift change) so you will have a new nurse. Sorry that happened" and that was IT! This was just one of MANY issues I had here.
Now I'm sitting here waiting to be discharged and the beeping sound from my IV is still going off (I gave up), that same gross bucket is on the floor, and I am SO READY to get out of here. Clearly, this hospitals issues start from its management all the way down to its staff. Save yourself the outrage and go somewhere else to receive care.
