| - Originally, I gave a 3 star because there were "issues". After reading my Yelp review the owner called me and absolutely did right by me. He reimbursed me for the entire cost of the U-haul I had to rent AND is having his painter fix the scuff marks. A business owner can keep his money or do the right thing and ensure future business. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
I used this company for a local move. The crew I got was Dustin, Juan and (Chris, Jason, John???) I can't remember his name... They were friendly, on time and courteous. They were efficient too...a little too efficient...they actually FORGOT items. Two of the items were small, a throw pillow from my couch and a wheel to my bed frame hanging out in the middle of the floor and pretty essential I'd say! Luckily, I wasn't finished with my move and had a few more trips of little things to go so I could get these items. Now 2 big items were also left. One was an animal cage that I put right by the ramp so they would take it. I WATCHED them move it out of the way...okay. When I got back to the house there it was in the garage. I had stuff that in my car causing an extra trip I had to make. For efficiency sake I moved all of my backyard furniture to the driveway, it was all grouped together but a large shelving unit was not ON the driveway it right next to everything else. So when I get to my new house I tell them it should go in the garage. They say oh we didn't bring that. What? Why not? Because it wasn't on the driveway. Wait, what? Why didn't anyone ASK me if it should go? Also they TOLD me they were ready to go. No one asked me to walk through and check to make sure that everything was packed that should have been. Now I have the added expense of needing to rent a uhaul. Some compensation should have been offered because the expense and inconvenience caused for me.
They said they were going to follow me. They have my new address I figured they'd GPS it if they couldn't keep up. I was well under the speed limit on 95 S and they missed me turning onto Summerlin Pkwy and that's when they told me they had to GPS my new address and got off at Jones. They had to go to Buffalo and Spring Mountain and when you pay double time for driving that mistake COST me even more money. They don't tell you in your estimate about drive time and being charged double time. That is told to you WHILE they are loading their truck. Cute.
My new house is all freshly painted it is in pristine condition. Now I have a variety of scuffs and scratches that I have to pray come out with magic eraser on the walls and ceiling. My metal tv stand is all banged up, two drawers to my dresser the handles are dangling off of and they were on there when I took them out. One of the screws is missing. I haven't come across anything broken or very badly damaged...yet.
I wasn't charged for any wrapping or packing material. My initial estimate on the phone was for three hours-that's just for the loading and unloading it does not include the drive time. That estimate came to $330. (3 hrs @ $110 per hr.) My total bill including the drive time at double rate with them "getting lost" came to $312. So I am fairly happy with that.
I will be sending them the Uhaul bill. Since this was a mistake on their end and I will see where that goes.
If you use this company my recommendation is be very specific about your TOTAL estimate. Ask about extra charges. According to some reviews things were stolen?? I find it hard to believe. Don't list exactly what is in the box if you have a valuable give it a code name like...tampons or ugly sweaters. Or pack your valuables with you. Make sure you do a walk thru after they think they are done packing do NOT take their word for it. Make sure they GPS your location before you leave for your destination. Ask them how fast their truck goes because 45mph on the freeway isn't cutting it, the slower they drive the more you'll get charged and it's double for driving. Not everything may arrive in tact so if it's precious, pack it well. Keep an eye on your valuables. Expect some minor damage, you're moving, use common sense.
