  • This is the first review that I have written that is under 3 stars. Anyway,my pup is difficult when it comes to the vet, I will be the first one to admit it. He gets really mean so it takes a special type of vet to handle him and get him to let his guard down. This was not the case here. First of all, they scheduled me for 9 am and i got there.... at 9 am! Maybe a little earlier. This appt was for his annual shots. So I check in and sit.... and sit.... and sit...... literally 50 min later someone calls my name. I was starving at this point because I hadn't eaten breakfast and expected to be in and out within 50 min. SO they call me in to this tiny room and I sit and sit and sit......... FINALLY a female vet assistant comes in and is so soft spoken I can barely hear her. She seems scared of my dog who is cowering. I told her that she might want to put a muzzle on him. She explains to me that she is not even the vet and just kept nodding to everything i said. 15 min later the vet comes in and is also meek and seemed scared to touch my dog actually she barely touched him at all. I explained to her that my dog has been a little irregular with his stools lately and was just asking about his diet. She immediately said that she would recommend not getting him the shots because of irregular stools. I was like no... he is fine I was just asking about his diet. So she agrees and takes him in the back.. keep in mind I could tell my dog was extremely uncomfortable and not at ease AT ALL. So I knew they were gonna have a hard time. Here we go again... I'm in this tiny claustrophobic room for 25 min.... just waiting. I kept saying to myself that at least when this is all over, he will have his shots and we can just go home and call it a day! She walks in the room and tells me that he was too aggressive to give him the shots. I was literally shocked. She recommended that I bring him in and put him under to get his shots. ?!?!? Again, I am the first one to admit that my dog has a vet issue but i have NEVER been told that a veterinarian was not able to get it under control. I was flabbergasted. They didnt charge me for anything... but this was a waste of 2 1/2 hours of my time. It was just so ridiculous. I brought him to another vet the next day and they said she had a bit of trouble with him but (OF COURSE) got the job done. Clearly these "animal experts" have no idea how to handle breeds that are prone to aggression when nervous. I know for a fact that my dog is not as bad as it gets because other properly trained vets handle him fine. I would honestly never recommend this vet. What a huge waste of time. Oh yeah and i forgot to mention my dog is 7 freaking pounds!!!!!!!!!!
