| - I had a groupon purchase for a pedicure, back massage and facial.
Once you come in, you get a cup of tea (the tea wasn't really good but to each their own). I liked that they didn't try pushing products on me like with Pure & Simple, but I suppose if you like the recommendations, then this would be considered a negative.
The pedicure portion -
The color selection wasn't huge, there were maybe 50 or so on the shelf.
They didn't have one of those neat basins with the jets, but it was still a nice experience. They scrubbed my feet and legs as I read through magazines and watched television. One part of the pedicure made my feet ticklish and I kind of moved my feet. She quickly stopped and asked me if I was okay, thinking she had hurt me or something.
For me, because I also was doing a back massage and facial, they didn't put on the colour until I was getting a mud mask done.
The massage portion -
You go off to a room with two beds, each with a heated blanket underneath a towel so when you get on it, it's nice and toasty warm.
The lady who did my massage was really good with the pressure and asked if it was too much pressure or too little. All in all, one of my better messages I've had (especially compared to Body Blitz, where I usually go for massages and where it's often hit or miss).
The facial portion -
Went through the usual actions: the different applications of products, extractions (which for some reason, only did a few spots and for a few seconds whereas when I had a facial done at Pure & Simple, extractions took a long time and all over my face) and then the mask part. They put a layer of cloth or something between the application. While they are leaving the mask on, the finishing part of the pedicure happens and she'll put on the nail polish then. I was left alone with the mask on for what felt like forever (and remember the heated bed you're lying on? Nice and cozy in the beginning but makes you really hot after an hour on it) and then it was taken off.
It was a nice, relaxing experience and I'd go again.
