  • I have had previous subscriptions over the past 18 years and was mostly satisfied up until about 4 or 5 years ago. Missing a paper once in awhile is nothing to complain about because you could get a credit or they would send one put to you if requested. However the last few years my papers were missed frequently or not stopped when requested. Beginning last year I was going to try once more and in April 2017 I purchased a GROUPON for a 26 week of the Sunday only with 7 day e-subscription. I tried and tried to activate the GROUPON with this merchant to no avail. I asked GROUPON assistance and they were unable to get this fixed also.The promotion period ended in October of 2017 but the value of the GROUPON states it has no expiration date of the regular price (26.00). I kept ignoring calls form LRVJ subscription services dept. because they would not honor my GROUPON. Finally I answered one of their calls and their representative Sabian upon listening to my situation said no problem. What I'LL do is give you credit for the 26 week Sunday only paper and if you purchase a regular 26 week Sunday only for 25.74 your subscription will be for a year. I said great lets do it. My first paper delivery would begin Sunday. Sounded good to me. Well I didn't get a paper Sunday. I called in Tuesday and said cancel the subscription and credit my 25.74 back CC account I was dissatisfied with the service and policy of the LVRJ. They have yet to refund my money that they charged on 2/15/2018 so now I'm stuck for around 56.00. I am unable to talk with anyone with authority to resolve this. Hey! I just want my 25.74 refunded for something I have never received how hard can that be. I have all my records here. I faxed them copies of the GROUPON to ATTN: Manager of subscription dept with CC Sabian -- no response yet. I held a position with the government before I retired and acted with authority representing a command with a few thousand workers. I would resolve this immediately with the few office staff employees over at the LVRJ. Is Mr Adelson the only one who can make a decision at the LVRJ. I can't say if I'll ever get my money back. It's not that they have committed possible fraud and probably unethical business practices but that it's just not worth the effort and energy to pursue for what is now over a year and nothing positive has been resolved. Anyone interested in my facts I'll gladly make available to you. send me a reply with your phone # and you'll see the straight skinny on this flim flam organization. Even a shift manager in any of the local casinos would take care of this stink and comp me for my trouble with an apology. As a business owner I would not let this happen either.
