We had a terrible experience at this Petland location today with two employees (Brandy and Megan). We will never be returning.
I had called in earlier today to book my small dog in for grooming services. The girl who I talked to over the phone said they actually had a cancellation so I could bring my dog in at 4:30pm. I realized that I wouldn't be able to make the appointment as I was getting off work a bit later than usual today so I asked if it is possible for me to come by after 5:00pm. The lady I spoke with said it's absolutely fine and that they can definitely get my dog in as long as we're there prior to 5:30pm.
When we went to drop my dog off (at exactly 5:25pm) we were told (by Brandy and Megan) that they would not accept her as they were claiming it was 5:33pm and since we were supposedly 3 minutes late they could no longer accept her. We were not late! We were actually shocked by this and even double checked the time only to be told that our clocks must be behind and the store clock is accurate. Seriously..? We arrived prior to 5:30 and even if we hypothetically arrived 3 minutes late, it's still not okay to reject a customer in that manner.
At that point we didn't want to argue as the two ladies seemed so careless and unprofessional that we felt extremely uncomfortable ever leaving our dog with them. I'm still pretty shocked about this situation. We have been longtime customers at this Petland location so it's unfortunate that this occurred. We will be taking our dog elsewhere and advising our friends to stay clear of this location.
