  • The wait is finally over - Whole foods is now open in Markham. I stopped by on day two and everything was running great, you wouldn't know it was opening weekend other than the live music. I love the fresh food counters / salad bars. Only down side is you pay by weight. Two salads and two fruit juices were $40 (although I do have a big appetite :) . So many great options to choose from and a nice seating area to eat. The bakery section looked soooooo gooood! Staff was great and the pay lines were quick. I suspect it will be tough to park here when everyone is aware of the opening. The parking lot was jammed and there is still a Bed/Bath and Beyond and a very large LCBO to be opened. If you never shopped at a WHole Foods - beware, prices are on the high end but they have a great selection of organic goods and variety you don't see at most grocery stores. Highly recommended.
