This is a pretty new Residence Inn, and you can tell. Everything looks fresh and crisp, the paint doesn't have any dings, and the carpets aren't icky yet. They have a free hot breakfast in the mornings, some tasty hors d'oeuvres on certain evenings, and plenty of snackages to order from their "to go" menu.
If you're working for American Express and want the corporate rate, you must bring in your badge. Don't try to fake 'em out: they're onto you, son.
As for other food options, there's not a ton of stuff around, but you're right near the 101 so everything's within driving distance.
