| - This hotel SUCKED! The only remotely positive experience was eating at Social Bar & Kitchen (see my review) which is actually in the Sheraton next door.
Upon arriving, the front desk attendant told me that since I had booked on Priceline they had to hold a "deposit." I have booked through Priceline more times than I can count and I have NEVER heard of anything like this. Next, the attendant said he had to hold $50 on my card for incidentals. I always use cash at hotels. Every hotel says they will not allow cash for incidentals, but they all can go around their "policy" if you just ask. But being tired, and not feeling like arguing with the desk attendant, I acquiesced and allowed them to swipe my card. And OH, did he swipe! By the time I got upstairs and checked my online banking, nearly $300 had been accidentally charged to my card.
When I tried to resolve the situation and asked to speak to a manager, I was left standing in the lobby for twenty minutes waiting. After it was all said and done and the charges reversed, Le Meridian did not even offer any sort of apology until I asked if they would "pay for my dinner." They responded with a $60 gift card good for any of their restaurants or bars, which was nice, but it took me three hours to resolve this situation and my time is worth more than that, especially on vacation.
Beyond their poor customer service, the rooms were small. I booked a King room and was given two full beds. The decor was cool, but again the rooms were super small. The bathrooms could not comfortably fit two people. And the showers had no doors so I had to waste two towels just to sop up all the water off the floor. Which was dirty.
Do not stay here. Not worth the money! No free breakfast, no free Wi-Fi, no free parking, and no care or concern for the customers. PASS.
